Anzarkee Birmans

 

 

My name is Liz Burman - yes, really.  I fell in love with this beautiful breed in March 2007 and by July of the same year I had my very first Birman - Esaya Wispered Promise a.k.a. Dixie for short, with thanks to Lady Audrey Saye of Esaya Birmans.  With a name like mine I couldn't really show any other breed so I decided to show Dixie in August of 2007.  Since then I have won many Shows and Titles, my highest honour to date was with my Red Tabby pictured opposite winning Best In Show Male Adult at The Birman Cat Club's annual show and collecting 7 trophies to boot in 2008!

 

I have taken a breather from showing to set up my own Cattery which has kept me occupied, however, I am hoping to return to the benches to win more titles and trophies (hopefully) in the none too distant future. 

Showing has been both a mix of pleasure and pain - pleasure of course when you win and pain or rather disillusionment when things don't go to plan!

However, my showing has given me many new friends and I have found how supportive my fellow exhibitors can be when maybe another cat has had a better day.
